LaFerrari’s heart beat is  a 6.3-liter V12 engine with 789 horsepower married to a 160-hp electric motor. The combination is good for a full 949 hp and 663 pound-feet of torque, and Ferrari says the LaFerrari can punch to 62 miles per hour in under three seconds. Keep your foot planted and 124 mph will click by in a scant seven seconds, while top speed sits at a lofty 205 mph.

Engineers turned to a total of four different types of hand-laminatated carbon fiber to create a chassis that's both stiffer and lighter than would have otherwise been possible. With a 41/59 weight distribution, carbon-ceramic brakes and ultra-light calipers, the LaFerrari is unlike anything we've seen from the company to date. The automaker says its creation is the fastest in its long history

McLaren 650S

McLaren has disclosed pricing and performance specs concerning its new mid-range 650S model.

Packing a 650 HP (478 kW) punch from a V8 3.8-liter twin-turbo engine, the McLaren 650S coupe needs just three seconds to do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) and will cover the 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) journey in 8.4 seconds. Hitting 186 mph (300 km/h) from a standstill takes 25.4 seconds en route to a top speed of 207 mph (333 km/h).

McLaren mentions the 650S is one second quicker than the legendary F1 when it comes down to the 0-124 mph run while in the standing mile is 0.6 seconds quicker as it can do it in 10.5 seconds at 139 mph (224 km/h). Interestingly, the British marque refers to the 650S as being "faster than rival stripped out road racers" while at the same time offering "far superior comfort, refinement and equipment."

These numbers are attainable if you are willing to pay at least 195,250 GBP for the coupe. Spider's performance figures have not been released but we do know the model costs 215,250 GBP. McLaren says the 650S coupe can return 20.1 mpg US (24.2 mpg UK or 11.7 liters / 100 km) with corresponding CO2 emissions of 275 g/km.

Sales of the McLaren 650S are scheduled to commence later this year, following the car's public debut next week in Geneva.

Underground Racing is proud to release the first Twin Turbo Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. Our team was very eager to get started with an Aventador project since it was first released from Lamborghini. Once this Aventador made it to Underground, we quickly began to engineer the TT system and full build for this amazing platform. Countless hours of R&D and hard work went into this project. We spent a lot of time driving and studying the inner workings of the Aventador, and this platform is amazing, but it still seemed to be missing something- acceleration. The kind you can only get from a friend I call, BOOST!

No doubt the Aventador is much more advanced than the Murcielago and even the LP Gallardo. It seems that the factory really tried to make it hard for the aftermarket world to modify the Aventadors though. However, the Underground Racing team moved quickly through the road blocks that exist. For now, the UR TT Aventadors will only be released with FULL engine builds. Through our research, we have found certain conditions that make this a requirement.

Now that the project is complete, I have to say this is truly one amazing car with the addition of the UR twin turbo build. We clocked the TT Aventador 0-60 mph time in 2.2 seconds on OEM street tires, normal air pressure and on a regular road. This Aventador drives just as it did in stock form, just a lot faster. The Aventador shifting is amazingly fast and we were also able to pick up a bit faster shift time with our Quickshift upgrade.

The Underground Racing TT LP700 system is a true work of art. Unfortunately, due to several attempts by other tuners to build knock off versions of our systems, only limited portions of information and images of the turbo system will be shown. As always, doing what only Underground Racing does with a Twin Turbo Lamborghini, we plan to see how far we can push the limits of the TT Aventador at several types of events with our demonstration TT Aventador. Chevrolet Corvette C7

The 2014 Corvette Stingray’s all-new LT1 6.2L V-8 engine is SAE-certified at 460 horsepower (343 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 465 lb-ft of torque (630 Nm) at 4,600 rpm, with the available performance exhaust system, Chevrolet announced today.

The Stingray is SAE-certified at 455 horsepower (339 kW) and 460 lb-ft (624 Nm) with the standard exhaust system. They are the highest standard power ratings ever for the Corvette, delivered with efficiency that is expected to exceed 26 mpg on the highway.

“The 2014 Corvette Stingray’s LT1 engine is a triumph of advanced technology, delivering more power and torque than ever before with greater efficiency,” said Jordan Lee, Small Block chief engineer.

“The LT1’s performance complements the Corvette’s low mass with a tremendous feeling of power that builds as the rpm climbs. Drivers will experience more power and acceleration than ever before with the standard engine – in fact, its power and torque surpass many uplevel engines offered by competitors.”

At 74 horsepower per liter, the LT1 has greater power density than the C6 Corvette’s LS3 6.2L engine and even the C6 Z06’s racing-derived 7.0L LS7. It also produces comparable torque to the LS7 – up to 4,700 rpm – and its peak torque is within 5 lb-ft of the 7.0L engine. That torque is generated early and sustained across the rpm band, with 316 lb-ft available at only 1,000 rpm and 90 percent of peak torque available from 3,000 rpm to 5,500 rpm – giving the lightweight Corvette Stingray excellent acceleration at all speeds.
